About the Position

The build Technician will report to the build shop location each day. Assemble ancillary material, shrouds, antenna arrays, build and test RF cable to customer standards, BOM assembly/material ordering. Ship and receive material at build shop location. Assist field crews with deployment and material loading.

Specific Duties and responsibilities

• Review all documents to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine required installation methods.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, installation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Candidate responsibilities include but are not limited to assembling, testing, labeling and deploying coaxial cable sets on a per site basis.
• Building/ assembling RRU shrouds and other ancillary material as directed by the customer, assembling antenna arrays, mounts and concealments and prepping for site deployment.
• Splice and test using fusion splicing gear, OTDR and other test equipment.
• Shipping and receiving material to and from the warehouse. 8-hour days are expected, overtime may be awarded based on customer needs.

Requirements:

• 4 Years in Telecom industry including- operations technician, DC power technician, network installer, and technical project manager.
• Preferred employed by Comcast and Crown Castle.
• Candidate has certifications in Anritsu cable testing (PIM and Sweep), Fiber optics testing and cable assembly, Ethernet and copper communication line testing and maintenance
• MUST be able to read blueprints /construction drawings
• Critical thinking skills and confidence to take initiative and make decisions is required; excellent judgment is essential.
