We're looking for a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a background in risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT defense strategies to support critical government and intelligence initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
  • Design and implement security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Zero Trust) for enterprise systems
  • Develop, evaluate, and refine defense-in-depth strategies and incident response plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations
  • Provide guidance on security architecture and secure system development lifecycle practices
  • Track emerging threats and propose solutions to reduce cyber risk exposure
  • Prepare detailed reports and briefings for executive leadership and technical teams

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance required, including additional security screenings
      • Full Performance: High school diploma/GED with 8 years, associate's with 6 years, bachelor's with 4 years, or master's with 2 years of relevant experience
      • Senior Level: High school diploma/GED with 10 years, associate's with 8 years, bachelor's with 6 years, master's with 4 years, or PhD with 2 years
      • Expert/Master Level: High school diploma/GED with 12 years, associate's with 10 years, bachelor's with 8 years, master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years
  • Strong background in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience with security assessment tools and practices (e.g., Nessus, Splunk, SCAP, STIGs)
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity policies and standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity for intelligence or defense systems
  • Familiarity with cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, and endpoint protection solutions
  • Background in incident response, penetration testing, or threat intelligence
  • Experience implementing RMF within classified environments
