Summary

We are partnered with a leading financial services client, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant in Cloud Security Engineering to join our client's Cloud Security team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of their cloud infrastructure, protecting sensitive payment and technology data, and driving innovative security solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the overall security strategy of the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud security solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Develop and enforce security controls, policies, procedures, and standards for cloud operations.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure regulatory compliance (NIST, PCI, GDPR, FFIEC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into cloud-based applications and services.
  • Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions, ensuring robust security architecture for both public and private cloud environments.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve security posture.
  • Lead and mentor junior security engineers, fostering a culture of security awareness and excellence.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Python.
  • Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices and Zero Trust architectures.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in cloud security engineering, preferably within the payments and technology industry (or 5 years with a Master's degree).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in cloud security tools and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and identity management.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, PCI, GDPR, and FFIEC.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native platforms and security architecture for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
