Summary

The ideal candidate must have specialized expertise in Palo Alto Networks Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP) and Prisma Cloud, with a strong background in working with telecom operators and securing telco cloud workloads. The ideal candidate will bring 3–4+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end implementation and management of cloud-native security, with a deep understanding of the challenges and requirements of the telecom industry.

You will be a key player in driving secure cloud transformations for telecom operators, ensuring full visibility, compliance, and protection across cloud-native infrastructure and services.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Palo Alto Prisma Cloud in telecom operator environments.

  1. Work closely with telecom cloud and network engineering teams to secure virtualized network functions (VNFs), containerized network functions (CNFs), and other telco workloads.
  2. Design and implement cloud workload security strategies tailored for telecom use cases, including 5G, MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing), and hybrid-cloud models.
  3. Enable and manage runtime protection, vulnerability management, and compliance enforcement for workloads deployed on public and private cloud platforms.
  4. Provide technical leadership and hands-on support during cloud security assessments, migrations, audits, and incident response efforts in telco environments.
  5. Collaborate with DevSecOps, cloud architects, and telecom partners to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and orchestration tools.
  6. Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats and anomalies in real time, ensuring minimal disruption to critical telecom services.
  7. Responsible for designing HLD,LLD,TRD documentations for Prisma Deployments for OnPrem, Multi-cloud Containerized/Noncontainerized environments
  8. Defender Installation, SSO Integrations, RBAC Configuration, Registry scanning, Alert Provider, SIEM Integrations to be performed
  9. Configurations of Rules for Vulnerability, Compliance, Runtime Configuration, custom(Runtime & Compliance), Admission Controller, WAAS Rules.
  10. Onboarding of users to Prisma tenants, tenant overview sessions with security teams and training sessions for new users.


QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Palo Alto Networks (PCCSE, PCNSE) Engineer with extensive experience in CWPP/Prisma Cloud.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto CWPP and Prisma Cloud in production environments


OTHER TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proven track record of working with telecom operators or vendors, securing telco cloud and network infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native telecom architecture, including NFV, SDN, CNFs, and 5G core/cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with focus on telecom-grade deployments.
  • Experience in securing Kubernetes, Docker, and service mesh platforms within telco contexts.
  • Knowledge of telecom compliance standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GSMA, ETSI, NIST).
  • Ability to define and implement policy-as-code, infrastructure security automation, and compliance-as-code.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.)
