If you are based in Belgrade, Serbia or if you have a valid working permit to work in Serbia, we are looking for you! TLScontact is hiring for the role of Cyber Security Operations Engineer, that will report to our Cyber Security Operations Manager.
Main Missions:
The Cyber Security Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's security posture by managing and monitoring security tools and systems. This role involves responding to security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The Cyber Security Operations Engineer will work closely with other IT teams to protect the organization's digital assets and support ongoing security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Response & Vulnerability Management
- Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations
- Analyze and document security incidents, including root cause analysis
- Coordinate with relevant teams to mitigate and resolve security incidents
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk assessments.
- Work with stakeholders to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Track and report on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts.
Implement and Manage Security Tools
- Operate, administer and troubleshoot a range of cyber security tools, including anti-malware, scanning, SIEM, encryption, GPO, web proxy, email proxy, CASB etc…
- Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the security tools
- Provide training and support to IT staff on the use of security tools
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvements across technologies and business processes
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all devices report to central log management and asset inventory systems.
- Follow up on mitigation plans and maintain architecture documentation.
- Conduct daily log reviews and collect compliance evidence.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Perform regular vulnerability and risk assessments
End-User and Endpoints Security
- Improve end-user security through the application of security tools
- Review and apply hardening configurations to technology equipment
- Implement and enforce endpoint protection policies
- Conduct regular security awareness training for employees
Patch and Vulnerability Management
- Operate the patch and vulnerability management process to detect missing patches
- Evaluate and determine criticality of missing patches in line with organizational risk
- Support the deployment of patches across different technology landscapes as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security operations or a related role.
- Proficiency in cyber security tools and technologies (e.g., anti-malware, web-proxy, CDN, encryption, GPO).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks from internal and external threats
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest security trends and threats.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Exposure to international and multicultural work environment
- Fluency in English (B2 level equivalent)
