As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and solutions to protect the 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) in line with 3GPP security standards. This role involves developing advanced security frameworks and mechanisms for the 5G RAN infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the radio interface, user devices, and control planes.

In this role, you will play a key role in:

• Leading the design of security architectures for the 5G RAN, incorporating 3GPP security standards and related elements.
• Developing security mechanisms for air interface protection, signaling, and data confidentiality.
• Implementing and optimizing authentication, encryption, and integrity protection mechanisms specific to the 5G RAN
• Applying deep knowledge of 3GPP protocols to secure communication between mobile devices, base stations, and the 5G core network.
• Conducting threat modelling and risk assessments specific to 5G RAN, identifying vulnerabilities in the radio access layer, and proposing countermeasures.
• Assessing security risks in RAN architecture
• Ensuring air interface protection using techniques such as dynamic key management, mutual authentication, and encryption algorithms.
• Working closely with 5G core network security teams to ensure that security mechanisms in the RAN are seamlessly integrated into the end-to-end security of the mobile network.
• Collaborating with security operations teams to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents affecting the 5G RAN.
• Developing incident response plans for security breaches within the radio access layer and providing guidance on mitigations for emerging threats.
• Leading the design and execution of security testing for 5G RAN solutions
  
  

Your Profile

• Strong expertise in 5G RAN architecture and 3GPP security standards.
• Experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions for telecom networks.
• Proficiency in 3GPP security protocols, such as authentication, encryption, and key exchange.
• Hands-on experience in Threat modelling, Risk assessment, and Incident response.
• Deep understanding of Radio interface security, Encryption mechanisms, and Regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.).
