We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our organization's assets by monitoring and assessing security risks, analyzing threats, leading incident investigations, and providing critical intelligence to leadership. You will stay at the forefront of the evolving threat landscape, particularly as it impacts the financial sector, and be instrumental in strengthening our security posture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Monitoring and Evaluation: Stay informed on current and emerging security trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. Continuously evaluate and apply tools and processes to assess and mitigate risks relevant to the financial sector.
  • Risk Assessment and Reporting: Provide clear, actionable reports to leadership on threat intelligence effectiveness and overall threat levels. Recommend improvements based on findings.
  • Incident Response Management: Lead security investigations through the complete incident lifecycle, ensuring all actions align with our Incident Response Plan (IRP) and Procedures.
  • Threat Intelligence Integration: Analyze external and internal threat intelligence data to anticipate potential attacks and proactively recommend countermeasures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, risk management, compliance, and other business units to ensure a coordinated response to threats.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in processes and tools, and recommend enhancements to improve overall security operations and incident response capabilities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or threat intelligence, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors relevant to the financial sector.
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools, incident response platforms, and threat intelligence services.
  • Solid knowledge of Incident Response Plans and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to convey technical information to leadership.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CEH, GIAC, GCIH, CISSP).


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial sector cybersecurity practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SIEMs, EDR tools, and forensic investigation techniques.
