Role reports to: Senior Customer Strategy Team Lead

Location: Markham, Ontario

Travel : 10%


What you will do

As a Customer Strategy Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of customer and channel strategies for a portfolio of beloved consumer brands. You will work collaboratively to build and execute innovative strategies that drive industry-leading category growth for key strategic customers, keeping both brand and customer priorities in mind. Your responsibilities will include coordinating cross-functional initiatives, optimizing retail and channel-specific programs, and contributing to forecasting and planning processes to deliver superior results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of differentiated Omni-channel (including e-commerce) and customer strategies to achieve business goals and financial targets for the assigned portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver channel and retailer-specific programs that drive category growth.
  • Support the forecasting process by rolling up external sales inputs and representing customer projections in demand planning tactical meetings, aiming to achieve outstanding customer service levels.
  • Drive in-year business performance including gap closure activities and optimization
  • Contribute to Portfolio Management Review providing key customer inputs for NPI planning in terms of distribution, trade funding, and promotional strategies.
  • Develop promotional and category growth plans, incorporating trade fundamentals and the Revenue Growth Management framework to drive competitive advantage at retail.
  • Lead the execution plans of new product launches, developing external launch strategies and managing execution within the Sales organization.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly customer POS data, share trends, and competitor activity to ensure the achievement of external and internal targets.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to support the seamless execution of customer strategies.


Qualifications


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of business/professional experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Sales Strategy experience
  • Advanced analytical skills, with strong critical thinking and logic capability.
  • Proven ability to achieve outstanding sales results.
  • Knowledge or experience in forecasting and/or monthly volume reporting and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of consumer sales, channels, and Canadian retailers.
  • Demonstrated ability to present sophisticated information in a concise and effective manner to deliver key messages.
  • Experience using organizational resources, tools, and processes effectively.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to influence multiple levels and functions within and across the organization.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Consumer Packaged Goods or Retail industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency with NIQ, Numerator, and Tableau/PowerBI tools is an asset.
