Summary

Company Overview: Established in 1934, ESCO is a designer and manufacturer of custom award products, to include; emblematic jewelry, rings, pins, medallions, key tags and all forms of jewelry accessories. In addition, we manufacture many other types of award products, such as, plaques, trophies, acrylic items, crystal, framed awards, etc. Two plants, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, house all of our production capabilities, to include tool and die making, stamping, casting, polishing, engraving, lasering, cad-cam, enameling and a complete jewelry department with highly skilled craftsmen. In addition, ESCO is a distributor of many fine gift lines and gift selection programs, many with web based programs developed by ESCO for our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ESCO has a full time Customer Service/Account Representative position immediately available for a bright and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Individual would provide sales solutions and service to ESCO’s school account division. These accounts are largely high school athletic accounts to which ESCO provides medals, plaques and trophies. Knowledge of high school sports would be of great value . In addition to athletic awards, ESCO provides many other school and university award products, customized gifts, rings and promotional products. Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities: Person would respond to all customer inquiries and provide service in all related areas, to include product information, research and quotations, order entry, production coordination and all corresponding administrative duties. Occasional outside sales calls and visits to our customers would be required. In addition, attendance at conventions and conferences would also be a requirement, though these amount to only 1-2 times per year. These visits and conferences are a fantastic chance to work outside of the office, meeting our customer base and solidifying relationships. As experience is gained, additional responsibilities would be added, such as developing quotes and proposals, researching new products and assisting with expanding our reach to our various markets through our E-commerce platform and soon to be launched social media platforms. Initial duties would include: Answering phones in busy office environment Researching new and historical information to respond to customer needs Entering customer orders in computerized order entry system Resolving complaints and Trouble Shooting Coordinating delivery dates with production department Qualifications: Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. In addition, must be completely comfortable working closely with customers outside of the organization, while being able to work effectively with all inside team members. Individual must be detail oriented, highly organized, self sufficient, accountable, self motivated and able to work independently as knowledge is gained. Experience and Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but related experience will also be strongly considered. Customer Service experience is desired but the willingness to learn and gain knowledge along with drive, determination and a high level of organization, self monitoring abilities and a “get it done” attitude are even more important. Knowledge and Skills Required: Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of all principles and processes for providing first class customer service, to include ability to effectively communicate with customers, assessment of customer needs, determining solutions and problem solving as necessary to provide complete customer satisfaction at all times. Time Management: Highly organized, self sufficient, able to manage multiple priorities and projects and able to effectively manage one's own time. Problem Solving: Identifying problems and reviewing related and historical information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications especially as related to mark ups and margins and percentages. Administrative/Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Tools/Technology Required: Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of basic PC hardware and software, including business applications and programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel are absolutely essential. Additional knowledge of Power Point and Access would be a plus. Complete familiarity with fax machines, printers, phone systems, mail machines, email processes, e-commerce and Internet skills is necessary.
