Summary

Who We Need

New-Indy Recycling has an opening for a Customer Service Representative to schedule appointments, create purchase orders and data entry. Other responsibilities include:

Essential Functions

  • Schedule mill and plant appointments in Open Dock program
  • Request freight rates needed for prospective proposals
    • Schedule loads with carrier based on rate and/or level of service
  • Create Purchase Orders in the “Cietrade” system.
  • Schedule Domestic trucks as needed and redirect loads as necessary
  • Create Sales Orders in the “Cietrade” system
  • Create a Worksheet Number in Cietrade and/or SMS for each load
  • Follow up to ensure loads are being picked up as requested
  • Collect weight tickets after delivery and complete worksheets in Cietrade to ensure that each load is accounted for on the Gross Profit Report
  • Send copies of Certified Weight Tickets to Suppliers
  • Review reports for accuracy prior to being sent to supplier
  • Data entry and billing of domestic loads
    • Invoices are reviewed for accuracy prior to being submitted to accounting for payment
What You Need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • High School graduate
  • 2 years Customer Service experience
  • Manufacturing, Logistics, or Recycling experience a plus
  • English and Spanish speaking a plus

What You Should Know

Work Environment

This position is in person at the New-Indy Recycling office. The noise level within the office is usually quiet and the temperature is regulated to be comfortable. Occasionally the employee is exposed to the Mill or packaging facility work environment which can be hot, and the noise level is loud.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to:
  • Sit at a desk for long periods of time, or sit while driving a car
  • Frequently use hands to type on a computer keyboard, answer the telephone and file documents
  • Frequently walk within the office and occasionally the distance of a large manufacturing facility
  • Occasionally reach with hands and arms above the shoulders
  • Vision abilities required are close vision and depth perception
