Description

The customer service representative will support the Operations team in fulfilling customer orders by serving as the direct conduit between our customers and internal manufacturing teams. The customer service representative coordinates all inbound orders with customer partners to ensure engineered drawing sets, prepping & masking sequences, and coating & finishing requirements achieve the desired quality certifications prior to releasing the order to our manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will comfortably interact with all levels of our manufacturing team coordinating the delivery of product and ensuring lead time commitments to customers are upheld. Operating with a sense of urgency, and going “above and beyond” to delight customers is an essential requisite of this role.

  • Experience serving customers in aerospace and defense coupled with a deep understanding of the certifications required to support customer quality processes
  • Comfort and familiarity using an industry leading ERP system to process inbound and outbound orders

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders is an essential responsibility
  • Be flexible. Customer delivery and pick-up events are unpredictable and vary day to day. The ideal candidate will provide consistent customer service regardless of how customers communicate, schedule, or arrive at our facilities
  • Ability to follow defined procedures and policies within our Quality Management System to ensure customers receive best-in-class quality without exception. Adherence to packaging and labeling requirements is an essential responsibility of this job.
  • Actively contribute new ideas to improve process flow with the goal of reducing customer lead times

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must. Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with working in a specialty surface coating & finishing business is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of our internal and external customers.
