We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team! The Customer Service Representatives are the middlemen that bring the office and our customer together to move the truckload and LTL volumes of dry, refrigerated and flatbed cargo. If this is you– let’s talk.
You will
Manage and distribute produce EDI loads to various offices
Manage and distribute produce manual tenders to various offices
Provide daily service reports
Manage and update the DSR for problem loads company-wide
Communicate with traffic departments on daily issues
Coordinate bidding on off contract with value-added service
Maintain and increase ALC’s image and reliability with customers
With management approval and oversight, determine a “fair” price to charge the customer.
Communicate product compatibility and shipping requirements for dry loads and temperature
requirements and maintenance when handling produce loads with management oversight.
Coordinate optimal loading and delivery patterns and times utilizing management insight in order to
minimize time and miles traveled with regards to the customer, advising if a load is manageable.
Skills And Experience
Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment
Experience in Freight Brokerage/customer service is a plus
Excellent and effective communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
Ability to quickly process information and make decisions
Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
