Summary
CSR Shift Available - 1st - 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for our 1st shift (8A-4:30P, Mon.-Fri.), to ensure the timely response and premiere services for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow-up and research as needed on all Customer Service concerns to ensure that daily reports are sent to the assigned customer and expectations are met.
Ensure that all external and internal e-mails have been addressed.
Handle customer calls and inquiries in a timely manner adhering to office standards and timeframes.
Handle Client services and clerical tasks to efficiently route products and services in accordance with the routing guideline procedures.
Ability to report production/receipts/shipment through the use of the customer specific web-based sites.
Enters all PO’s and orders into the system accurately and completely.
Knowledgeable of, and adheres to, all established client and company SOPs.
Continuously monitors assigned jobs. Contact customers if a problem develops that will affect the pickup or delivery time of their shipment.
Work with other Client Services Associates to strengthen customer relationships.
Extensive research to resolve customer discrepancies to determine root cause and follow-up with customer utilizing applicable communication method in a timely manner.
Adhere to safety guidelines within office and warehouse.
Areas of Customer Support:
Order Management, Inventory Control, Over/Short and Damage processes
Customer Weekly and Monthly Billing
Solutions development of shipments
Point to point routing of shipments
Basic escalation procedures
BOL (Bill of Lading) processing
Shipping & Receiving Management
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred, or (GED) equivalent
Experience with WMS system and inventory control
Minimum two years of experience in customer service with a 3PL or in warehouse distribution
Minimum two years of exposure to the transportation, logistics or closely related industry
Required Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrate the ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demand
Demonstrate ability to interact and work within a team
Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned tasks and complete in a timely manner
Work well under pressure in a fast pace environment.
Proficient computer skills – MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Manage difficult customer situations in a calm and cordial manner
Excellent knowledge of Client Service practices and procedures
