Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at Trucordia, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our commercial lines clients. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for assisting with the management of and servicing of personal insurance policies, maintaining client relationships, processing inquiries, and providing support to ensure clients' insurance needs are met efficiently. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of personal lines insurance products, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with producers, underwriters, and clients.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to customers via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Process both new business and renewals for customers.
  • Sell and quote new business for personal lines clients.
  • Assist in preparing and processing personal insurance policies, including issuing certificates of insurance, endorsements, and other policy documents.
  • Skillfully identify and assess customers' needs, delivering appropriate and effective solutions.
  • Process payments and submit insurance premiums accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings to assist customers accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions to continuously improve service quality.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
  • 2 years of experience within insurance industry
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical proficiency with insurance agency management systems. (Applied Epic or AMS360)
  • Valid Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or some college level course work
  • Strong knowledge of personal insurance products (auto, home, renters, umbrella, etc.).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
