We are searching for a highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. The Customer Service Representative serves customers by completing various banking transactions efficiently and accurately while adhering to check cashing and withdrawal authority limits, in addition to detailed responsibilities listed below. This position requires a high school degree or equivalent and 1 year or more experience in banking/customer service commensurate with responsibilities detailed below.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions including all deposits, check cashing, and issuing of monetary instruments
  • Greet clients and assist in directing them appropriately, answer incoming phone calls and emails, process/sort mail and night depository transactions
  • Assist customers with inquiries, account research, and/or problem resolution in a professional manner
  • CIF creation & maintenance
  • Open deposit accounts and follow relevant procedures
  • Adhere to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations
  • Follow the bank’s customer identification program (CIP) rules, observe all Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to BSA, OFAC, CIP and related acts to protect both our customers and Parkside Financial Bank & Trust
  • Maintain working knowledge of personal and business products including basic electronic banking, general deposit operations, ACH inquiries, wire transfers, ATM operations, and debit card management
  • Follow best practices to safeguard against fraud, while educating clients of fraud protection resources and services that are offered


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent along with 1+ years of experience in a similar banking role
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to navigate and learn new computer systems and websites
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Service-oriented and patient in stressful and challenging situations
  • Thrive on engaging with customers; able to begin a conversation, build rapport, and handle objections
  • Able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team
