Job Description
Custom Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Chicago, IL): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Custom Software Engineering Manager in Chicago, IL, and the job duties are as follows:
* Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications.
* Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components.
* Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications.
* Architect development strategy for applications and components.
* Coordinate development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones.
* Build deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule, keeping in line with overall project timeline.
* Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements.
* Team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in.
* Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Qualification
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
* Managing Agile projects, including creating work plans for teams using Microsoft project professional, tracking issues and managing risks, and escalating to leadership when necessary;
* Managing distributed teams in multiple locations using SAFe framework; and
* Using Azure DevOps or Jira Align tools to manage projects, create and manage application backlog, track progress, automate builds, automate test execution, and deploy code to production.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
* Working with multiple cloud providers, including AWS and Azure;
* Leading production L2 and L3 level teams to resolve defects;
* Leading system integration and production maintenance teams; and
* Guiding team members in the implementation of Agile and SAFe during the software development process.
Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
