Chemers Gallery is looking to add a new member to the team! Well established high-end custom framing business is looking for a meticulous framer with a minimum of 2 years experience. We frame a number of expensive artwork and unusual items. You must have clean workmanship, pay attention to detail and be very exacting. Full-time or part-time position, weekdays 8:30am - 5:00pm. Salary based on experience. Candidate is expected to be able to: - Perform professional picture framing duties including chopping & joining, mat cutting, hinging or mounting artwork, cutting glass, fitting and finishing details that meet high standards. - Lift artwork while standing, comfortably use stairs & ladder and properly use hand tools. Must be able to lift minimum of 35lbs. - Hang art & adjust lighting - Work with a high degree of accuracy & cleanliness. - Quickly learn and perform tasks, as trained, with consistency & efficiency with awareness of proper handling of art & art objects. Ideal candidate will have an understanding and interest in art, design & the creative process. You bring new ideas for best practices to the table.
