Credit Underwriting Manager

Are you a dynamic credit professional with a passion for strategic risk management and cross-border finance? A unique opportunity has opened up for an experienced Credit Underwriting Manager to join a forward-thinking team operating at the heart of global trade.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of credit risk evaluations across a diverse portfolio of counterparties in international markets. Your expertise will support structured trade, commodity, and export finance transactions, ensuring sound credit decisions that align with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth credit risk assessments for new and existing counterparties.
• Collaborate with commercial, legal, and finance teams to structure robust transactions.
• Develop and present detailed credit proposals for senior risk and business committees.
• Monitor credit exposures, proactively identifying and mitigating emerging risks.
• Maintain a deep understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and geopolitical developments that may impact credit risk.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in finance, economics, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is advantageous.
• Substantial experience in credit underwriting or credit risk analysis, particularly within the trade or commodities sector.
• A track record of working on complex financing structures and cross-border deals.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to present clear, well-reasoned recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
