Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Credit Control Reporting Manager in our Finance Operations team in our company market.

The Credit Control team is a key component of our International Insurance Division and works closely with Lloyds, brokers, cedants, externally as well as the finance, underwriting, underwriting operations, Information Technology and claims teams internally. Driven for a collaborative resolution to cash and credit control challenges to maintain superior customer service and profitability for the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in credit control and collections.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in collection strategies.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Collaborate with the IT department to enhance data collection and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all reporting activities.
• Work closely with the Credit Control and Collections teams to align reporting with operational needs.
• Participate in meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
• Continuously improve reporting processes by adopting new tools and methodologies.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in credit control, collections, financial reporting, or a related area.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills at Proficient Level (including macros) are essential for this role.
• Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
• Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
• Proficient in articulating complex information effectively to various audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable but no essential
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is desirable but no essential.
• Awareness of Sox Controls is desirable but not essential.
