Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Credit and Collections Manager to oversee receivables and optimize cash flow for a dynamic team in Crofton, Maryland. This role requires expertise in credit management, collections strategies, and financial forecasting within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will excel at building client relationships, analyzing financial data, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute collections strategies for high-volume accounts, including negotiating payment resolutions and addressing disputes.
- Assess credit risks and enforce policies such as filing mechanics liens and bond claims when necessary.
- Develop accurate cash flow forecasts aligned with organizational budgets and financial objectives.
- Analyze receivables and cash trends, providing actionable insights to improve collections performance.
- Lead efforts to optimize workflows through automation and implement best practices in credit and collections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment issues and improve cash management processes.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and monitor trends affecting credit and collections.
- Mentor team members and contribute to broader financial planning initiatives.
- Utilize systems like NetSuite and IBM AS/400 to streamline reporting and data analysis.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in collections with commercial contractors and building owners.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume accounts, including balances up to $900k.
- Background in the construction industry is mandatory.
- Familiarity with filing mechanics liens, bond claims, and other credit enforcement tools.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite and IBM AS/400 systems is a significant advantage.
- Expertise in accounts receivable, billing functions, and credit analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
