JCW Search is partnering with a leading financial institution to hire a Senior Portfolio Manager/Underwriter to oversee and grow a commercial real estate (CRE) loan portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced credit professional who thrives on underwriting, risk assessment, and relationship management in the CRE space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite, structure, and manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, ensuring credit quality and compliance with bank guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments using both quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine appropriate risk ratings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure competitive financing solutions while maintaining strong risk management.
• Price and negotiate loan terms to optimize profitability and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with both existing and prospective clients to drive portfolio growth.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting and lending.
• Strong credit analysis and risk assessment expertise.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
