This position involves performing administrative and clinical duties under a provider's supervision in a healthcare setting.
Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
Clinical responsibilities encompass taking vital signs, recording medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and drawing blood.
Requires graduation from an accredited MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication basics, and clinical externship, or an LPN diploma.
No prior experience is required; healthcare experience is preferred.
Must have certification/registration from an approved program (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) and current AHA BLS certification or obtain within 90 days.
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and proficient computer skills are essential.
