Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Count Team Supervisor, the incumbent assists in sorting, counting and recording of currency in the Count Room.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include but are not limited to:
Must possess basic math skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities
Record cash drop
Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
Verifies documentation removed from drop boxes with information recorded on master game worksheet.
Assists with all Count Room Department activities as assigned.
Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in general math skills
High school diploma or GED as well as money-handling skills or a combination of education and/or experience.
Experience in working with public under stressful conditions preferred; or an equivalent combination or education and/or work experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work in a smoking environment
Must be able to work overnight
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during the shift
CLOSING:
The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
