The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications and budgets. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing for bids. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to streamline the estimating process. Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project requirements. Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate favorable contract terms. Review contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements. Provide ongoing support during the construction phase by updating estimates as necessary. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam or similar platforms. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A solid understanding of cost control measures within the construction industry. Previous experience working on construction sites is a plus.
