The Cost Accounting Manager will serve a dual-purpose role, supporting corporate and inventory accounting functions while driving efficiencies and improvements within the company’s PeopleSoft system.

Cost Accounting Responsibilities:

• Managing accounting functions such as monthly close processes, audit participation, product margin analysis, purchase orders (POs), and inventory reserves
• Leading the upgrade to a new version of PeopleSoft, documenting SOPs, and ensuring seamless system implementation
• Acting as a critical liaison between IT and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
• Collaborating with the supply chain team to address distribution-related accounting needs and ensure alignment across departments
  
  

Cost Accounting Manager Requirements:

• A strong understanding of accounting processes within the manufacturing sector, including inventory accounting, product margins, and supply chain interaction
• Hands-on experience leading system upgrades or conversions, particularly with ERP systems. Ability to manage project timelines, document processes, and collaborate across departments
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred, including its capabilities and optimization for accounting functions
• Proven ability to work effectively with IT, supply chain, and other business units to identify and resolve system and process inefficiencies
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate accounting systems and processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions
