Summary

Join our dynamic Summer Corporate Finance Internship program, designed to give you a broad exposure across key finance functions – Audit, Tax, Investor Relations, and Treasury. This rotational internship is tailored for students looking to develop a practical understanding of corporate finance and accounting operations in a collaborative manner, in a global diversified company/organization.

This is a hybrid work environment, requiring the ability to be on-site in the Itasca, IL office with remote flexibility. Interns will also have the opportunity to travel (domestically) during the internship.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting Structure & Team Integration

  • You will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Audit
  • You will be paired with experienced staff (buddies) to provided day-to-day guidance, career insights, and support.
  • You will participate with internship personnel from other business units/departments, gaining exposure to how finance integrates across our organization.

WHAT YOU’ll DO

You will spend allocated weeks in each of the following departments.

Within Corporate Audit

  • Learn auditing standards, risks, and control within our organization.
  • Assist in risk assessments and walkthrough of business processes.
  • Support internal control testing and documentation, include conducting on-site, fieldwork activities.

Within Corporate Tax / Investor Relations

  • Develop a practical understanding of the tax aspects of US and foreign tax returns and transfer pricing/intercompany documentation.
  • Help gather and organize information for the preparation of tax provision schedules, forms, and various components of US tax returns.
  • Support analysis of research, peer company performance and industry trends.
  • Assist with ad-hoc or various tasks needed.

Within Corporate Treasury

  • Understand corporate treasury function and our ecosystem of Treasury-related models, reports, and systems.
  • Assist with information gathering of cash flow forecasts, intercompany settlements, and projections with global finance teams.
  • Help support monitoring of cash positions, foreign exchange rates, and preparation of documents for internal and external auditors.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Pursuing undergraduate accounting, finance, or tax degree(s) from an accredited school – raising seniors preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking skills (ability to “connect the dots”)
  • Communication and teamwork skills (both verbal and written)
  • Eager to learn (work ethic and passion)

Pay Parency and Benefits

At Knowles, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain top talent. The salary range for this position is $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range and serves as a general guideline. We recognize that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences. Therefore, the offer will be determined more or less than the anticipated range after considering various factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
