A high-growth, private equity-backed company is seeking a sharp, emotionally intelligent Corporate Development Manager to join its lean, high-performing M&A team. This individual will be hands-on in leading transactions from signed LOI through close—working directly with sellers, internal stakeholders, and third-party advisors to drive diligence, support negotiations, and execute strategic acquisitions. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to move beyond a support role and take ownership over deal execution in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
- Guide strategic acquisition opportunities from signed LOI through confirmatory diligence and close
- Conduct financial modeling, valuations, and commercial due diligence in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with third-party firms (e.g., Big 4) on quality of earnings and legal review processes
- Interface directly with sellers throughout the transaction lifecycle to ensure a smooth and collaborative close
- Support the review and negotiation of definitive agreements in partnership with internal legal counsel
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure post-close financial wrap-up and clean handoff to the integration team
- Maintain and improve M&A processes, reporting packages, and earn-out tracking
Who you are:
- 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or consulting—with exposure to M&A or transaction advisory work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with sellers and navigate sensitive negotiations
- Prior experience at a Big 4 firm or within an M&A/corporate development team preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Highly organized and process-driven, with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and deal execution platforms
Why work here?
- Direct visibility into high-impact deals with significant responsibility from day one
- Strong culture of autonomy, support, and collaboration under a hands-off, empowering manager
- Opportunity to join a high-growth platform executing meaningful, non-cookie-cutter acquisitions
- Competitive pay, performance bonus, and great work-life balance for an M&A role
