Our Client:
A well-established and growing manufacturing organization in the GTA, is looking for a passionate and technically strong Corporate Controller to join their team. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days onsite per week.
The Role:
- This is a high-impact role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in key accounting functions. The successful candidate will oversee a large portfolio of operating companies in the U.S. and Canada while playing a vital role in driving innovation within the finance function.
- Managing 4 direct reports and providing overall guidance on corporate accounting matters across a large portfolio of operating entities, the Corporate Controller's responsibilities include:
* leading corporate treasury and cash flow management;
* partnering with leadership to drive innovation and efficiency across tools, systems, and processes, etc.
* supporting the company’s investment and real estate accounting for a portfolio of owned properties;
* overseeing insurance, bonding, and credit risk management;
* supporting M&A due diligence;
* ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASPE;
* driving the financial consolidation process for ~100 entities;
- This is a hybrid role involving both team leadership and individual contributor responsibilities, offering the opportunity to not only set the strategy but also execute and lead by example.
- A key mandate will be to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and contribute to ongoing automation and systems improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- CPA designation (required)
- A strong technical foundation in accounting, M&A, consolidation, reporting, and process improvement.
- Related industry experience and a desire to grow within a dynamic organization.
- System savviness: Experience with Kinetic ERP is considered a strong asset.
