Job Description: Corporate Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage dynamic workloads, including month-end close and concurrent special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Close Ownership: Lead and manage the monthly close process (5-day close), working closely with business and finance teams.
  • Deadline Management: Maintain a calendar of key accounting deliverables, ensuring all deadlines are met and properly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Ledger Oversight: Oversee the timely and accurate close of regional ledgers and the submission of financial data to global consolidation systems.
  • Policy Enforcement: Standardize and enforce accounting practices across the corporate segment to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Audit Liaison: Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors on regional accounting matters, facilitating the audit process.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, tax regulations, and internal reporting standards. Ensure that financial reports adhere to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Public Accounting Experience: Must have a background in public accounting, preferably with Big 4 or a reputable regional firm, with hands-on audit experience.
  • Industry Experience: 5–7 years of experience in corporate accounting. Strong Senior Accountants with experience leading month-end close and reporting are encouraged to apply.
  • Certifications: CPA is required (or actively pursuing).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (required).
