Overview

The Core Network Engineer - DDI (C2H) will be responsible for managing and supporting DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting, implementing changes, and collaborating with teams and customers to ensure optimal network performance. The engineer will support DDI systems like BlueCat, Infoblox, and ISC BIND, providing technical expertise in a production environment.

Position

Contract-to-Hire (C2H) position with an emphasis on expertise in DDI systems and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Review change requests, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential implementation issues.
• Collaborate with requestors to refine and clarify change requests.
• Test and validate change requests in a lab environment before production deployment.
• Implement and validate changes in production environments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP-related issues.
• Plan, test, and implement patches for infrastructure in production environments.
• Generate monthly operational reports for customers.
• Provide training and leadership to future team members.
• Recommend process and technical improvements.
• Work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and team members to deliver excellent service.
  
  

Must-Have

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Network and systems administration experience.
• Strong expertise with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
• Proficiency in Linux administration.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Expertise in technical documentation (Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Experience with ISC BIND and ISC DHCP.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft DNS & DHCP.
  
  

Additional Skills

• BlueCat Certified (preferred).
• Experience with Infoblox and Diamond IP (certification preferred).
  
  

Additional Information

• The position is onsite in Plano, TX and Columbus, OH.
• Ideal candidates will have a strong background in DDI systems and network troubleshooting.
