Scope Of Work
Copy-editing support to finalize new volumes of Public Diplomacy (PD) Foundations and provide substantive copy-editing updates to previously published volumes including the following:
“Contemporary Public Diplomacy”
Selections from “Theories and Concepts for Public Diplomacy”
“Public Diplomacy in Practice”
Public Diplomacy Glossary
Copy-editing services will also support projects outside of PD Foundations that support the work of the office, including public-facing reports and other large documents.
Task One: Copy-edited manuscripts of the volumes in PD Foundations in editable Google Docs formats.
Task Two: Formal research reports on a variety of topics and formats specified by R/PPR on a rolling basis as specified by the program office.
These may include communications products designed to raise awareness about R/PPR services and activities, formal research reports (e.g., two-page global surveys reports), and longer-form evaluation reports produced for field use.
Work will be performed remotely. Copy-editor will be provided the following on average for each project:
Text in Google Docs format of approximately 25,000 - 35,000 words (65-70 pages) each
Department-specific style guide
Project-specific style guide, if applicable
NOTE: This position is per diem; work will be performed on an as-needed basis.
Pay Range: $40 - $50 per hour.
