The mission of Student & Community Engagement is to serve as the hub of student engagement and to intentionally provide services and resources that support learning focused on developing relationships, connecting to the community and fostering a desire for life-long learning. The purpose of this position is to serve as a key resource for students, alumni and community members who are seeking employment. The position serves as the departments' key member in terms of resume development, interviewing techniques and job search strategies. Furthermore the purpose of this position is to assist the Manager of Student and Community Engagement with serving, students, alumni, community members and employers. The salary for this position begins at $57,344.00 and is determined commensurate with education and experience. Why work for Sinclair College? Principal Accountabilities * Coach students on resume/interviewing techniques * Provide job search assistance to customers * Participate in recruitment of students for registration in JobLINK * Provide assistance in registering students into JobLINK * Maintain JobLINK database * Assist in developing and deploying college job fairs * Conduct classroom/community presentations * Assist with Student and Community Engagement events * Other duties as Assigned Requirements * Minimum of a master's degree in student services, business, higher education, or related field required * Minimum of one year of experience in higher education/student services required; 3 years' experience working in career development preferred * Professional communication skills to include but not limited to oral and written communication required * Ability to develop rapport with a wide variety of customers and employers required * Current working knowledge of business trends, including current best practices of interviewing, resume development and job search strategies required * Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while providing great attention to detail and meeting prescribed deadlines required Supplemental Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*). * * Do you have a minimum of a master's degree in student services, business, higher education, or related field? * Yes * No * * Do you have a minimum of one year of experience in higher education/student services OR 3 years' experience working in career development? * Yes * No Applicant Documents Required Documents * Resume * Cover Letter * Master's Transcript Optional Documents * Other
