About the Role:

As a Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and improving electrical control systems for our manufacturing equipment. This position offers the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that increase quality, productivity, and safety. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to drive innovation and excellence, taking ownership of key responsibilities that directly contribute to our success.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, components, and systems
  • Develop electrical control systems per engineering standards, codes, specs, and budget
  • Create and update design layouts for manufacturing equipment
  • Program and maintain software for PLCs, robots, and NC machinery
  • Redesign systems to improve quality, safety, and productivity while reducing costs
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams to resolve design, quality, and safety issues
  • Select and evaluate components for control systems
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations
  • Prepare equipment and material specifications for purchase
  • Stay current with electrical engineering technologies and systems


What We’re Looking For:

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused work habits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Experience with product launches and process development
  • Proficient in PLC programming, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems
  • Proficient with NC-controlled machinery
  • Working knowledge of robotic systems
  • In-depth understanding of NFPA 70E and arc flash requirements
