Scope of the Role: As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting and enhancing PLC, HMI, and robotic manufacturing equipment within our factory. Collaborating closely with production engineers, maintenance technicians, and vendors, you will help ensure equipment uptime, advance technology, and expand our manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and improve PLC-based industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, Robot, Vision).
  • Design and execute control systems integration projects in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Integrate legacy systems, including PLCs, controllers, drives, and motors.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance during the build, testing, and commissioning phases of new or modified systems.
  • Lead multiple projects of varying complexity, ensuring timely execution and progress reporting.
  • Provide training for engineering and maintenance team members.
  • Research and test new manufacturing technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
  • Experience with European control systems (IEC, Siemens, Kuka, Festo).
  • Proven ability to write and troubleshoot PLC code, HMI programming, and robotics programming.
  • Strong team orientation, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with computer programming (Visual Studio).
  • Field service experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
