Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various automation projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to enhance system performance and optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for automation projects
- Program and configure PLCs for various applications
- Develop and integrate HMI systems for user interfaces
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and efficiency
- Document control system designs and maintain project documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in PLC programming and configuration
- Familiarity with HMI design and implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Up to about 20-25% customer travel
