Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various automation projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for automation projects
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to define project scope and requirements
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices
• Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify control panel designs
• Integrate robotic systems and machinery into existing processes
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure functionality
• Oversee installation and commissioning of control systems at client sites
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, UL508, and other industry standards
• Maintain documentation for projects, including design specifications and user manuals
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering or automation
• Proficiency in PLC programming with Siemens, Rockwell, or similar
• Experience with robotic systems, particularly Fanuc
• Machinery OEM/Integrator experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and control panel layout
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
