Position: Controls Engineer
Duration: Ongoing Contract (1 year min + likely extensions)
Location: Arlington TX
Shifts: 1st Shift - must be able to work off shifts as needed, will not be on an off shift for longer than a couple weeks at a time
Compensation: $42/hr to $50/hr

Must Haves:
- 4+ years of experience as a controls/automation engineer working with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience working with HMIs (They use Siemens)
- Experience working in Automotive or manufacturing environment
- Experience with Ethernet and/or Devicenet networks
Plusses:
- Experience with drives (rockwell, siemens, powerflex, motor, kinetic)
- Experience with robotic programming (Fanuc Kuka ABB)
- Ability to program Allen Bradley from scratch
- Experience with Eplan
- Previous GM Experience / know GM standards
- Stamping or Press experience
- GCCH-1 Certification
- GCCS-2 Certification
Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a Sr Controls Process Engineer for a large Automotive OEM. The controls engineer will be programming Allen Bradley PLCs and supporting the production line for stamping and press machines. You will be going on layout meetings, ensuring the project runs efficiently and is meeting deadlines, and troubleshooting on the production line as needed. Additional Responsibilities include:
- New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff)
- Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
- Manage deliveries to program timing milestones
- Provide project report outs to senior management
- Existing program/site support (troubleshooting, etc.)
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers/plants
- Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.
- Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems
- Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
