Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Controls Application Engineer in DAVENPORT, Iowa. As a part of the construction industry, the selected candidate will be involved in the design, installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electronic control systems for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the electronic control systems designed and installed meet the OSHA safety standards
- Delivering projects within the defined budget and timeframe while upholding the quality and minimizing warranty issues
- Interacting with customers, IT teams, and subcontractors for successful integration and system design for automation and controls projects
- Utilizing engineering drawings for system design, creating submittals, generating operation manuals, and delivering complete project documentation
- Addressing operational or installation issues with deployed control systems
- Applying computer hardware and software programs knowledge, specifically Honeywell, in daily tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the Construction/Contractor industry
- Proficiency in using computer hardware and software programs
- Expertise in Honeywell systems and products
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of control theory and control systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
