Job Title: Controller

Location: Dallas, TX

Summary:

Solid, profitable $500M equipment sales and services company with a strong culture and an aggressive growth strategy, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller. The Controller will be a self-driven, hands-on member of our team, responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and personnel and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the preparation of financial statements and all accounting processes through both hands-on participation and delegation.
• Drive the month-end and year-end close processes and manage all audits. Build and maintain account reconciliations and reporting to continuously improve accuracy and to analyze, report and explain activity and results in a simplified and transparent manner.
• Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes. Own and drive the implementation of an A/P automation tool to improve efficiency across the company.
• Lead the financial integration of acquired companies, manage the consolidation of financial data and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Build relationships across the company to explain financial results. Build reporting and share data to drive change.
• Constantly seek and act on opportunities to apply your unique skill set to make the company better.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s and/or CPA preferred).
• Deep experience in a Controller or similar role, with a proven track record of accounting management and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Intellectually curious and self-driven to find opportunities and solve problems.
