Coombes Development is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial health of the company.  This role requires a multitasker with experience in construction-related accounting, managing a team, and refining systems.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Lead the Accounting Team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee and review monthly project invoicing
• Prepare and analyze project and company financial statements
• Coordinate with external accounting firms on tax filings and audits
• Maintain and monitor cash flow statements and projections
• Advise on cost control strategies and financial risk management
• Safeguard confidential financial and company information

Operations  

• Collaborate with lenders and escrow partners to manage project closings
• Oversee credit compliance and reporting for financial partners
• Ensure the integration of accounting software with internal systems
• Support evaluation of senior and subordinate debt options for stabilized properties
• Manage bid packages for upcoming development projects
