As Controller, you’ll be responsible for a wide-range of activities, including month-end closing processes and reconciliations, W-2 review and preparation, managing annual audits, and a variety of other financial analyses, compliance requirements, and special projects. You’ll also provide high-level support to our CFO to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions. Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform and oversee month-end closing procedures (prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules) and ensure financials are in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports to be used by management for key decision making.
• Work with external auditors and provide required information for annual audits.
• Coordinate with and work closely with other internal departments (HR, Payroll, Business Development, Benefits) to create reports, improve processes, and research inquiries and discrepancies.
• Review and analyze large amounts of data for reporting of financial information.
• Conduct quarterly internal review of wages and taxes to ensure accuracy of W-2 reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
• BA or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business field
• Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant designation, a plus
