Summary

Develops and implements strategic sales plans designed to increase the profitability of the company. Monitors the progress of the sales plans and makes changes as needed. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates. Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program. Assist sales representatives in making presentations to key customers. Ensures sales representatives maintain relationships with all accounts by making joint calls and reviewing call sheets. Maintain open communication with vendor representatives and coordinate scheduling Works in conjunction with other department managers to ensure that potential and current customer needs can be met in a timely fashion (i.e. deliveries, inventory levels, equipment concern, etc.). Analyzes and controls expenses of the sales staff to meet budgetary requirements.
