Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $58.00 to $62.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
• Monitor compliance with government regulations and reporting standards.
• Manage government billing processes and collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
  

Requirements

• Track and manage budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinate with annual audits and external auditors.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Oversee payroll processing functions in ADP, ensuring accurate and timely payroll disbursements.
  
  

Qualifications

• A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field of study.
• 5+ years of proven experience in non-profit accounting.
• Be proficient in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
• Exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
