Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Controller to join our team at North Branch Construction. Essential Functions: Prepares corporate financial statements in a timely fashion. Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures for the accounting department. Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audit. Conducts periodic audits of budget items, including comparing per diems to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons. Provides relevant financial information to the executive management team. Oversee and take responsibility for all financial procedures and records. Maintains corporate checking accounts and invoices. Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger. Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits. Comply with local, state, and federal government requirements. Performs other related duties as requested by the Chief Financial Officer. Competency: Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software. Must be able to learn other accounting systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Education & Experience – At least three years of related experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, preferred.
