About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented Controller with direct experience working for a General Contractor (G.C.). This is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of corporate accounting functions in the construction environment, with a focus on job cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all corporate accounting operations including job cost tracking, WIP schedules, backlog analysis, and financial reporting
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Work closely with project managers and executive leadership to provide real-time financial insights
• Ensure accounting systems and controls are efficient and compliant
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
  
  

Qualifications: Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with a General Contractor (G.C.) this is non-negotiable
• Expertise in job cost accounting, WIPS (Work-in-Progress), backlog, and other key construction financial metrics
• Strong understanding of GAAP and construction-specific accounting standards
• Ability to lead and manage an accounting team
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procore and Sage integration is a major plus
• CPA designation is beneficial but not required
• Strong communication and analytical skills
