Controller – Family Office

Hunter, Keith Industries Inc. is a two-family office based in Wayzata, MN. We manage all aspects of financial life for the families we serve — including investments, tax planning, entity accounting, and cash management — with a highly personalized approach.

We’re looking for a Controller to join our small, collaborative team and lead core financial operations. This is a high-trust, hands-on role with direct access to family members and an opportunity to grow into broader leadership and investment responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead tax planning and analysis, working closely with an external CPA firm on tax preparation.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for ~20 entities (trusts, LLCs) using Sage Accounting and Excel
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury, and liquidity across entities
• Supervise one direct report and partner with the CEO
• Handle payroll (3–4 employees)
• Build trusted relationships with family members and adapt to evolving needs

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of relevant accounting or family office experience
• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred); CPA a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
• A self-starter comfortable in a tight-knit, high-responsibility environment
