We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of our growing manufacturing company. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, developing financial strategies, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and providing key insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws.
Cost Accounting:
Oversee and analyze cost accounting functions; establish and maintain standard costs and inventory valuation.
Partner with operations to improve cost efficiencies and provide variance analysis.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting.
Provide variance analysis and financial commentary to management.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Develop and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the accounting team; ensure strong performance and professional development.
Foster collaboration across departments to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
ERP & Systems Oversight:
Oversee ERP systems relevant to accounting and manufacturing operations.
Drive process improvements through system enhancements and automation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and financial modeling.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
