Growing government contractor outside of Manassas is seeking a head of finance to report to the ownership team. This $20M revenue founder-led business is working on doubling in size due to organic growth by breaking into new markets and investing in their proposal/contracts team to win new business.

They work a hybrid schedule, on-site 3 days/week.

Managing a small accounting team, the Director of Finance will participate in traditional FP&A (budgeting/forecasting/long-range business planning), Pricing, and tax strategy (with assistance from external CPA firm). Oversight of accounting is expected, but we're seeking a finance-minded leader.

Due to their work with the Federal Government, all employees must be US Citizens and eligible to receive a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial statements and reports
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Work closely with proposals and contracts team on pricing structure
• Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies
• Collaborate with external CPA firms on tax strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
• 10+ years' professional experience in finance or accounting
• FP&A, strategic finance, and pricing experience
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Prior leadership/managerial experience
• Working knowledge of Costpoint or Unanet preferred
