Are you a seasoned financial professional with a knack for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving business success? We are currently seeking a Controller to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in financial decision-making, ensuring the financial health and prosperity of our company. This position will give you the chance to leverage your financial acumen, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to make a significant impact on our operations.

Responsibilities

As our Controller, your primary responsibilities will include

• Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and preparing variance reports.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinating the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
• Collaborating with the executive team on strategic financial planning, providing advice on long-term business and financial planning.
• Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT-related procedures.
• Using Excel to create financial reports and models.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in accounting, prior experience in public accounting/ audit preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Proven experience with business and financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and audit procedures.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
