Reporting Responsibility: Integrator/ Chief Operating Officer

Pay Range: $105,000-$120,000 base compensation ($125-$145k total cash compensation), DOE

We are searching for a multi-talented Controller/Internal Operations Manager to join our Leadership Team. You must love to collaborate cross functionally in a people-centric, fast-paced environment. Well organized, detail oriented, a self-starter and ability to manage multiple high priority and time sensitive projects. This is a position that requires a multifaceted person – which includes a high degree of accounting and finance knowledge, as well as a high level of knowledge in Human Resources oversight. Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Excellent management skills, with the ability to Lead, Manage, and hold self and others Accountable
  • Proven understanding of GAAP, including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow analysis and management, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks online accounting software and reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS & MS Office Suite software. Expertise in Excel is a must
  • Ability to develop Accounting, Human Resources, and Operational processes and procedures to support Company’s strategic goals
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of Payroll systems, including liabilities processing, reporting, & data exports—Paylocity preferred
  • Human Resources oversight and high-level management experience
  • Familiar with POS System integration
  • Knowledge of company valuation and forecasting processes
  • ESOP administration and management knowledge and experience desired

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the Internal Operations Department, consisting of 3-5 Accounting and Human Resources team members, by Leading, Managing, and holding team Accountable to established goals and objectives.
  • Oversee daily Accounting Department operations including A/P and A/R, account reconciliations, sales tax reporting and payments, payroll processing and tax reporting, and research and analysis.
  • Oversee daily People and Culture (HR) operations, including compliance, recruitment and hiring, culture, reporting, etc.
  • Actively participate in weekly, quarterly, and annual Leadership Team meetings to help execute the company’s financial strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze department functionality, adherence to and development of procedures and internal controls to ensure accuracy, enforcing company policies and procedures, and general fiscal-oriented oversight.
  • Responsible for the monthly financial statement accuracy, reporting, and closing of the books.
  • Bank account and credit card management, dual control processes, online access controls, and approvals. Experience with Ramp, Concur, and/or automated integrated payment systems preferred.
  • Insurance, Credit, and Risk Management negotiation, oversight, and compliance.
  • Contract management for services, equipment, and venues, including negotiations, review, and approvals.
  • Prepare and report financials at quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare and complete annual ESOP & 401(k) reporting documents and ensure compliance
  • Prepare and submit annual ESOP valuation documents, including preparation of 5-year forecast, Capital Expenditure, and compensation budget
  • Manage client, vendor, and employee collections, as needed.
  • Lead asset management process, including purchase order compliance and processing, reconciliation, and ensuring accurate asset inventories and records.
  • Maintain historical financial records and archive financial documents in adherence to internal and external document retention policies.
  • Support all other departments in event production processes to ensure high quality, successful events.

Education And Experience

  • 3+ years of Accounting Management experience--Licensed CPA or CMA preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
  • QB Certification(s) highly desired—ideally QuickBooks online

IMPORTANT POSITION EXPECTATIONS

The candidate may be required to travel up to 5 times per year requiring travel of 3-8 days, including our Regional and National dance competitions, trade organization, and/or strategic planning events, which can occur any time throughout the year. Must be okay sharing a hotel room with same-sex colleague.
